This place suits me perfectly with its fitness center, indoor pool, and free Wi-Fi. The staff once helped me find a lost jewel, truly memorable. I highly recommend trying their delicious breakfast! I'm coming back for a city trip.

The room was spacious and boasted a beautiful view from the balcony, enhancing the overall experience. Courteous and friendly staff made a significant impression, and the breakfast buffet offered an excellent selection. the dining experience fell short with poorly presented snacks and a disappointing dinner menu that misrepresented expectations, lacking variety and quality. the pool area was crowded and unclean during our visit, which detracted from relaxation.

Mixed vibes but nice digs

So, we stayed for a night and while the room was super spacious and comfy, the staff seemed kinda lost, especially at the spa. The food at the restaurant was surprisingly good though, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. Just wish they didn't start clearing the breakfast at 9:45 when it’s supposed to be till 10!

Communication regarding spa amenities created confusion, with no robes provided unless treatments were booked, making the experience less relaxing right off the bat. The breakfast service encountered slow replenishment, particularly of hot items, leaving choices limited during busier times. A frustrating lack of clarity regarding reservations for the dining options also added stress to what should have been a straightforward meal experience.

The hotel offers lovely grounds and a welcoming atmosphere, though the course conditions were disappointing, muddy, and unkempt. Service was friendly overall, but there were instances of slow responses. The spa treatments were wonderful, which made the experience worthwhile despite some hiccups. The food was generally good, albeit on the expensive side.

The gardens were stunning and well maintained, making our walks truly enjoyable. The breakfast offered a vast selection and each dish was flavorful.

The check-in process felt a bit slow.

excellent walkable access to nature and charming attractions

I enjoyed the lovely views from my room and the serene strolls through the nearby Boothland wood, which is just about 2 km away, as well as discovering the local art at Diane Hutt Gallery, roughly 3.5 km from the hotel, making it a perfect spot for city explorers like me. it was also nice to have a spacious room with a comfortable large bed to unwind after such adventures, but the gym equipment could use an update.

i love this hotel! it feels like my happy place. the staff are excellent, making every stay memorable. the facilities are top-notch, with a great gym that has fully equipped stations. it's close to beautiful areas like ashdown forest and the south downs, perfect for exploring.
